The purpose of this blog is to keep everyone informed about our mission trip to Uganda from July 14 - July 29. Our team consists of Gord (a retired high school teacher) & Julie Roddy (a retired administrative assistant), Glenna Roddy (an elementary teacher), Paul (an elementary teacher) & Sharon Menicanin (an educational assistant), and Sheila Welsh (an elementary principal). We are going to be leading professional development seminars and workshops for 40 teachers from 3 International Needs schools. We will also be making home visits to children sponsored by members of our church (Forestview Community Church) and giving them gifts from their sponsors. We are taking lots of soccer balls, volleyballs, school supplies, and professional development materials for the teachers. We are also taking 2 laptops and several tablets as well as a LCD projector.
